We had the pleasure of working with Marcus Hotels and Marriott while shooting the new AC Hotel in Chicago. Being a former resident of Chicago I love any opportunity to get back there and see my old stomping grounds and hang out with friends and family. This is our second AC Hotel by Marriott that we've photographed and we can't wait to do more!
We just completed a really cool project with Gregory Augustine of August Interiors. This apartment in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square neighborhood takes up the entire floor with windows on every side letting in incredible natural light which we were more than happy to work with.
Attic Fire Photography is proud to announce that we now shoot video! Here is our first foray into this new world. Thanks to our client AC Hotel Bourbon / NewcrestImage! [embed]https://youtu.be/ZoIsnUMZ0Qg[/embed]
We love working with all the great people at Lonny Magazine, and we always get to shoot fantastic projects with them. Here is our shoot in the latest issue of designer Annie Selke's beautiful home in the Berkshires.
Here are some shots from a shoot we just finished in Galveston Texas at one of our favorite resorts, Moody Gardens. It was great to get out of the cold and down to the gulf coast. Moody Gardens is a unique resort with its own aquarium and rainforest held inside of huge pyramids. If you're ever down near Galveston check it out.
We've been in Washington DC several times this year for shoots. We kept noticing that the Washington Monument is being repaired and is covered with scaffold. Strangely, it actually looks even cooler this way, especially when lit up at night. So on our last trip to DC we decided we had to photograph it, knowing that it may never look like this again. While we were at it we decided to photograph some other well known monuments (the Capitol Building, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial). We shot all of them at twilight. To make the Lincoln Memorial a little different we shot it from the back side. There was a delivery van parked in front which at first we were disappointed about, but in the end we think it makes the shot unique and adds a little bit of fun to it. We hope you all enjoy the series.
As part of a new section of George Washington University School of Law in DC, the architects at Perkins & Will were able to convert 3 old townhouses into a new learning space. The original facades of the 3 houses were kept in tact, but inside all were converted into a single large building with many lecture rooms. There was also a great modern addition added to the back of the building, giving a wonderful juxtaposition between old and new.
We made a trip up to the Baha'i house of worship in Wilmette IL, just north of Chicago. The light was so clean and soft that day and this gave the images such a smooth, soft look. The people at the temple were very welcoming and the temple itself as well as the surrounding grounds are very pleasant to stroll around.
