As part of a new section of George Washington University School of Law in DC, the architects at Perkins & Will were able to convert 3 old townhouses into a new learning space. The original facades of the 3 houses were kept in tact, but inside all were converted into a single large building with many lecture rooms. There was also a great modern addition added to the back of the building, giving a wonderful juxtaposition between old and new.
Chicago has tons of amazingly talented architects and designers. We just worked with a great young interior designer named Zach Hayes. Zach's style is crisp and clean yet elegant. He was a lot of fun to work with and getting to shoot in such a beautiful home with amazing views of Lake Michigan and the John Hancock Tower was icing on the cake.
We just completed a great two part project for Perkins & Will in Washington DC. The first part is a new learning center pavilion and the other is a set of remodeled and repurposed townhouses. Here is Part 1. Enjoy.
Here is a selection of images from a recent project. This is the new residential tower at 4545 Center Blvd in Long Island City, New York developed by TF Cornerstone. These residences have amazing views of Manhattan across the East River.
One of Charleston SC's most beautiful boutique hotels is the Planters Inn. We photographed this charming inn nearly 8 years ago and were honored to be asked to shoot it again when they completed their recent renovation. Planters is a member of the ultra-luxurious Relais & Chateaux hotel group. It was fantastic working with the Planters team again and we look forward to more opportunities to do so.
We recently made a trip to the beautiful city of Charleston SC to shoot for one of our favorite returning clients, The Francis Marion Hotel. The Francis Marion has just redone their ballrooms. Here's a taste.
We recently completed a fantastic project photographing the Firekeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan. It took a full week to photograph and hotel staff were extremely helpful and a lot of fun to work with. We love doing big projects like these. We'll roll out images from the project over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more, and let us know what you think.
Architect Frank Gehry is famous for his unique brand of architecture, often comprised of flowing and twisting sheets of metal on a building's façade. The Peter B. Lewis Building at the Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland Ohio is a great example. It mixes Gehry's signature metal with more traditional brick and is eye catching from every angle.
